Following up on our commitment announced at the TikTok Southeast Asia Impact Forum 2023, TikTok Indonesia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Association of Women's Resource Development Centers (PPSW), the Social Enterprise Platform (PLUS), and Telkom, is organizing TikTok Jalin Nusantara (TJN), TikTok's premier digital skills and connectivity enhancement program for Indonesia.

TJN represents a strategic step for TikTok in supporting the advancement of MSMEs and the digital creative economy in the country. This program offers digital skills training at 19 locations across Indonesia, including:
  • 10 creative economy centers: Samosir, Pekanbaru, Tangerang, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Malang, Banyuwangi, Balikpapan, Labuan Bajo, Jayapura
  • 9 tourist villages:
    • North Sumatra: Lumban Suhi-Suhi Toruan Tourist Village, Jangga Dolok Tourist Village, Raya Seribu Bunga Tourist Village, Sait Buttu Asri Tourist Village, Kampung Warna-Warni Tiga Rihit Tourist Village, Lumban Bulbul Tourist Village
    • East Nusa Tenggara: Golo Loni Tourist Village, Ekraf Victory, Ululoga Tourist Village
Through TJN, MSMEs and entrepreneurs receive in-depth mentoring on various aspects, including basic digital literacy, business, and financial fundamentals; essential digital skills such as content creation, digital marketing, and e-commerce practices; and business sustainability through partnerships and support from the government and industry. This empowerment scheme aims to help MSMEs participate more effectively and efficiently in the digital economy.

In addition to training components, TJN also provides free internet access at community centers in the 9 tourist villages to support equitable access and accelerate digital penetration. This is expected to help rural communities participate in the digital economy.
Through this program, TikTok hopes to make a positive and sustainable socio-economic impact on over 18,000 local residents and 500 MSMEs, including in areas such as social enterprise development, responsible business practices, and the empowerment of women and people with disabilities. The implementation of TikTok Jalin Nusantara in 19 pilot locations this year is expected to expand in the coming years to embrace more MSMEs and local communities, helping them connect and become digitally skilled.
The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, has given full support for improving the quality of local MSMEs through the TikTok Jalin Nusantara program. This program is considered a concrete step in developing competitive and sustainable local MSMEs.
